A bunch of profound thoughts

THis moring, I was walking to school and thought that I noticed something different. Then I noticed that the sun was shining for the fist time in six days. It was warm enough to walk without my gloves, or at least it felt like it. Was the grass greener, or was it just the light? I don't know.

For 14 minutes, I walked to school to the sounds of the Police, Katrina and the Waves, and U2-and while I walked, I felt a new kind of happy, like everything, for 14 minutes, was alright. It wasn't the feeling you get when your most hated team gets Philiminated, or the feeling you get when you find a pair of designer jeans on the bargain rack (or shoes, DANIELLE) or even the feeling that you get when the final bell of the last day of school rings.

It wasn't nostalgia or anticipation. It was just pure living in the moment.

Now that's rare.
